Welcome to

Mahila Co-operative Bank Ltd.

A unique co-operative institution in Bangalore managed by enterprising women. The bank was registered in 1977 and licensed by the Reserve Bank of India in 1979.

From inception, our objective has been to assist poor and needy women from weaker sections of society — providing financial support that improves their standard of living, supplements family income and helps them become self-reliant, while encouraging the habit of thrift among members.

Our area of operation covers Bangalore City / BDA limits, Ramanagara and Tumkur. The head office functions from the bank’s own building at Seshadripuram, where a staff training centre was established in 2006.

Women Empowerment & Community

Banking that begins with the woman of the household

Nearly five decades ago, this bank was started so that women who had no access to institutional credit could borrow with dignity. That purpose still shapes what we do — small savings schemes that build the habit of thrift, and credit that helps a woman supplement her family income and stand on her own feet.

Credit that supports families and small enterprise
